How are your containers looking? My container is a bit tired and overgrown as you can see from this before picture. I think it is time to do some updating and changing out plants for fall. I first need to evaluate what plants I want to keep and then take out the rest. The annual grass Skyrocket looks really great still so I am going to keep it and pull out the others. A yellow mum, flowering kale, Sedum Voodoo and Heucherella Solar Eclipse add much needed color. What an improvement!
We have many options for fall containers:mums in yellow, pink, orange, red and two kinds that have three colors in one, flowering kale and cabbage, succulents, annual and perennials grasses, sedum, and asters. The options are endless and all will take a light frost which will extend the life of your container. Make sure to add more potting soil to really root bound pots and slow release fertilizer for a little boost to new plants. Custom containers are available in the fall too. Bring in your pots and liners for a little refreshing.
